Smith & Wesson 2206 is a target pistol. The bore is placed as low as possible to reduce muzzle flip on rapid fire. Note the two different types of magazines: the original 12-rounders were replaced with 10-rounders conforming to the requirements of the 1994 so-called "assault weapon" ban. Further, Olympic-style target pistols have been banned outright by several states as..."assault weapons". Seems that no one type of firearm is safe from ill-meaning legislation. |
